I ate a candy cane just moments before trying so my thoughts may be a bit influenced, but I do declare that this one tastes like Christmas in a bottle!

Sour cherries for sure and a lot of oak. It's quite good. Not extraordinary, but could certainly sip on this everyday.

Good every day bourbon

My main complaint here is that there's no finish. It's good, then it's gone. Hint of alcohol remains so I guess it's "clean"?

Nutty, and there's a dried fruit in there. Caramel. Water definitely smoothed it out. Gun shy on calling for heat but this seems there and with age. Enjoyed it.

Not good. Seems like cheap bourbon.

Like an orange cream pie. Delicious and sweet.

This stuff is solid. Nothing jumps out, but that's probably a good thing. Easy to enjoy.

Tastes like Scotch...but fruity. Glad we havent gotten into the ultra smoke/peat shops yet. I kinda dig the lighter fruity/floral sips. Super light in color and really fruity on the nose (peach/mango/banana). Jump of ethanol on the initial taste, but added a few drops of water and it calmed down. Still not a fan of Scotch, but this advent calendar has opened my eyes that Scotch has huge flavor swings. Good sipper, really good with the Bittermilk smoked honey.

Okurrrr...I settled into this one and was able to appreciate it. I couldn't shake a banana taste, but not sure that makes sense.

Argh. Great nose and color. Fruit, melon. But scotch. Peat. Sea water. Mixed with floral and honey dew. Meh. Pass.

Not much on the nose but this might be my favorite malt of the calendar so far on the palate. Tastes like a big boy.

My senses tell me… a scotch?!

MOAR. This is why I drink scotch. Bring on that peat.

Peat with a light smokiness to it. Honey and pears on the palate. It's got a little bit on the finish, but I like it.

It's as American as apple pie except it's Scotch.
