Now this is a scotch with something for everybody! Fruity, strong and just the right amount of salt.

Big fan of this one (this is day 5, Iโ€™m a day behind catching up). Seems like a classic bourbon color, aroma and palate. Oak and nutmeg on the aroma, maybe some chocolate. Thick mouth feel, caramel and maybe some dark fruit. Good long finish, but not too hot. This is something good and complex, will be my highest rated so far this year.

Not a fan. Tastes like a cowโ€™s chewed up cud was used for fermenting.

Tastes like a Scotch, but not a smoky one. Bit of peat, and sweet tasting a bit. Very nice dram.

This was hot. Opened up with some water and got some cinnamon flavor. Not much of a finish. Pass.

The clang of my hammer has become dull. I have adjusted to the sound, the heat, the numbness of my arm as it grips the forging iron. I wipe the sweat and grease from my brow and try to breathe for a moment. โ€˜BACK TO WORK YOU MAGGOTโ€™ the warden screams. I fall back into the rhythm. I am 3rd in the line. First, the tamer unleashes the volcanic spew from the mountain, then the man next to me folds it into some semblance of shape, my job is to strike the ingot and settle it from its primordial form into the physical plane. For this is the Fire Factory, where we wrangle the element itself into something tangible and sellable. Waves of heat from all sides pummel me, my head swims. The horn blows, finally time to switch shifts. As I walk back to my bunk, I accidentally run into another worker. She drops her cargo: bottles of deep red. I apologize, help her get all her bottles backโ€ฆ..save one. I hide it in my sleeve, hurry back to my bunk before the warden sees. Sheโ€™ll be punished for losing a bottle but my curiosity is outrunning my compassion. I have to know what the end product is, what is it exactly that we create from mining the raw ore of fire itself. Nervously, I uncork the bottle and pour into my one clay cup. But what comes out is not liquid. Itโ€™s something more ethereal yet somehow solid. It IS fire but in a form I can consume. I raise the clay cup, but this is not the fireโ€™s final form, I have caught it before its refinement. It burns, it burns me, I canโ€™t control whatโ€™s in my cup. It has a mind of its own, it moves from me through my room, engulfing all my meager possessions in its raging fury. But I keep drinking, I am one with the flame, I can control it, and then it is empty. The fire is gone. But now it is a part of me. The next days are ash. My meals, bland, my drinks like air. I have tasted fire now, and nothing else will compare.

A day late, and technically 2 since itโ€™s after midnight. But based on color and wellโ€ฆ color, Iโ€™ll guess itโ€™s a scotch. Who knows. Probably no one. I think the translation was lost to timeโ€ฆ San Diego, an old old wooden ship ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ anyways, Iโ€™d definitely put it in my coffeeโ€ฆ or Dr. Pepper. Shout out to @WakingApril for the vessel!

Just very unpleasant. The nose is tight, the palate is hot and spiky. My brotherโ€™s take: โ€œThe finish is Hill Country Fare toothpaste.โ€ Iโ€™m guessing rye just because Iโ€™ve never had a bourbon I disliked this much.

Spice and dark cherry on the nose. Barrel-proof bourbon that burns on the first sip and gets better with time

Smell of citrus, vanilla and honey with a smidge of hay but boy does it burn going down. I had to add a splash of water and an ice cube. Gives a good throat burn ๐Ÿ”ฅ that lasts a bit. Oh boy the spice! I'd look for this if I was outside, in the cold, freezing rain and needed a burst of warmth out on the prairie. Or underneath the neck of a St. Bernard.

High proof, has to be. Very fiery. Opens up a bit with a splash of water - getting baking spices and honey, maybe? Unfortunately I canโ€™t say Iโ€™m a fan of this straight, but it bet it stands up really nicely in a cocktail.

As I sit by firelight. I stare into a glass of amber shining bright. The first sniff my how it burns. The heat begins to raise concerns. Yet I take the first sip, I am amazed. Is this a rye, that I am going to praise? It must be something barrell proof. If you're reading this do I look like a genius or goof? So do I like this Sam-I-am? What is the verdict on this little dram? I'd have another, yes another pour This is a drink worthy of an encore

Fire flames! This is good! I smelled this while reading the chip bag and tricked my brain into smelling cinnamon, coconut and sugar... Or are those the notes .. we'll never know.

Holy sweet nose and high heat. I donโ€™t hate it but Iโ€™d like more of a balance between the two. Just ok for me, wouldnโ€™t seek it out again.
