Good start to the calendar and what a day to be alive. Love the addition of some fellow Jews to the calendar this year (shout out to the Rubins). Interesting flavor. Easy drink. Not too strong. My pregnant wife thinks it smells so you know this one is good.

Loving the nose in this one - super juicy cherry and vanilla. Sweet and spice on the tongue but not getting a ton of flavor. Nice burn, but a tad astringent for my liking.

Tastes like a young Ardbeg, perhaps the 10 year. Crisp and lemony with that distillery's characteristic softer touch of peat. I love this one.

Leather. Peat. Tobacco. Summer fruit. I think this is Irish. If it's scotch shame on me. Gotta say I am not a huge fan. Leather is forward like my docksiders but not as bad as some others. Kind of grew on me a bit. Opened up on the fruit. Add a drop of water and bam!

My palate for non-Highland Scotch is improving, so I'm tolerating this more than I would have in previous years. That said, I'm still not enjoying this as much as other scotches.
